Vera M. Wolfe, age 87, of Rock Falls, died Thursday, January 17, 2013 at Rock Falls Rehab Nursing Home.

Vera was born December 15, 1925 in Dix, IL the daughter of Sherman E. and Marie (Thomas) Boles. She worked as an assembler at GE in Morrison for 11 ½ years and retired in 1973. Vera also worked worked at Green River Ordinance Plant in Amboy during WWII and Jul's Farm for 9 years. Vera married Clarence "Nate" Wolfe on March 8, 1947 in Rock Falls, her beloved husband died August 9, 2009. She was an avid fisher person, was in crafts for many years, and loved reading.

Survivors include her four daughters; Cheryl (Sparky) Forster of Morrison, Cindy (Larry) Jones of Morrison, Donna Kuehl of Morrison and Roxann (Jerry) Elder of Rock Falls, two brothers; Bill (Martha) Boles of Dixon, and David (Celia) Boles of Percy, six grandchildren; Kimberly Tarbill of Sterling, Nathan (Billie Jo) Elder of Sterling, Keith Jones of Morrison, John (Nicole) Kuehl of Morrison, Jason Forster of Morrison, and Joe Elder of Kewanee, and twelve great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers; Richard of Centralia, Eugene of Galveston, TX, Irvin Boles of Morrison, Laverne Boles of Angleton, TX, three sisters; Lucille Boles of Centralia, Neva Reynolds of Centralia, and Pearl DeKalb of Denver, CO.

Visitation will be from 10-11:30 AM at McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls on Tuesday. Funeral service will follow at 11:30 with Pastor Jon Sedgwick of the New Hope Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be at Coloma Township Cemetery in Rock Falls.
