Vera Louise Eades, age 94, of Rock Falls died December 13, 2012 at her home.

Vera was born May 16, 1918 in Decatur the daughter of Lester and Caddie (Roderick) Deardorff. She married Don L. Eades on March 13, 1937 in Newport, IN her beloved husband died March 26, 2010. Vera was a member of the First Congregational Church – UCC in Rock Falls and was very active with her grandchildren. She was an avid bowler for 50 years and enjoyed playing bridge and golf, and was involved with the CGH Auxiliary.

Survivors include one daughter; Sharon (Edward) Gale of Rock Falls, one sister-in-law; Lucille Deardorff of Decatur; one brother-in-law Gary (Sue) Eades of Decatur; five grandchildren; Rene (Jed) Walrath, Trisha (Ryan) Hippen, Jason (Jennifer) Gale, Jack (Tammy) Eades, and Cheri (John) Siebken, twelve great grandchildren, and one great-greatgrandchild.

She was preceded in death by one son; Donald, one daughter-in-law; Donna, two brothers, and three sisters.

Visitation will be from 4-7 PM Monday at McDonald Funeral Home, 1002 12th Avenue in Rock Falls. Funeral service will be 11 AM Tuesday at the First Congregational Church – UCC, 905 Dixon Avenue Rock Falls with Reverend Allen Campbell officiating. Burial will be at Coloma Township Cemetery in Rock Falls.

In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established to the First Congregational Church, UCC of Rock Falls and to Hospice of the Rock River Valley.
