ROCK FALLS – Robert G. Wolber, 89 passed away Wednesday September 26, 2012 at Coventry Living Center, Sterling.

He was born on July 28, 1923 in Sterling, the son of Geroge and Edna (Johlfs) Wolber. He served in the US Army during WW II and after his discharge began work at the former National Manufacturing Co in Sterling retiring after over 40 years of service. He married Mary Lou Murray on June 15, 1952. To this union, two children were born and survive, Sandra Kay Phillips of Pensecola, FL and David (Cathy) Wolber of New Berlin, WI; four grandchildren: Dawn (Brad Ennis) Phillips, Kimberly, Kellie and Korrie Wolber; two great grandchildren: Skylee Ennis and Kaiden Green; along with several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters: Letha in infancy and Lois Hinrichs.

Bob was an avid CUBS fan and BEARS fan. He was a very hard working and caring person, always putting other's needs ahead of his own. He will be sadly missed and loved forever by his family. He was a member of Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church, Rock Falls.

Visitation will be held on Friday September 28, 2012 from 10 – 11 AM at the McDonald Funeral Home, 1002 12th Avenue in Rock Falls. Private family burial will follow at Oak Knoll Memorial Park in Sterling, with the Reverend Henrietta Milner officiating.

Memorial in his memory to Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church would be appreciated.
