April L. Shipman, 32, of Chadwick, died Wednesday, February 6, 2013.

She was born January 5, 1981 in Sterling the daughter of Paul and Diane (Scheidecker) Shipman.

April loved boating and skiing. She was a lover of all animals especially her German Shepherds. Her love of animals was especially shown to the ones she raised on her farm.

April is survived by her parents, Paul and Diane Shipman of Milledgeville; a son, Levi, at home; a sister, Ashley (Tom) Johnson of Chadwick; a brother Joshua Shipman of Fulton; her maternal grandmother Dixie Fredricks of Milledgeville and her paternal grandmother, Betty Shipman of Milledgeville.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather and her paternal grandfather.

Services will be held at 3 PM Sunday at Milledgeville United Methodist Church with Reverend Daniel Sturtevant, officiating. Visitation will be from 2 to 3 PM Sunday at the church. Private burial will be at a later date. A memorial is being established for her son's education fund. Arrangements were entrusted to McDonald Funeral Home in Milledgeville.
