Amanda F. "Ann" Mitchell, 88, of Sterling, died Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at CGH Medical Center in Sterling.
Born January 3, 1925 in Sterling, she was a daughter of Eilert and Trientje (Oelrich) Hippen. She was united in marriage to Norval Mitchell on October 21, 1942 in Seattle, WA. He preceded her in death on June 25, 1992.
Ann was a member of Messiah Evangelical Lutheran Church and worked at Bordan in Dixon for 20 years.
Surviving are her sisters, Shirley Magnuson of Walnut and Doris Stewart of Dixon; her brothers, Ailt Hippen, David Hippen of Sterling and Jack Hippen of Dixon; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 10 AM Saturday at McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery in Sterling. Visitation will be from 5-7 PM Friday at the funeral home.
