William "Bill" R. Remrey, Jr., age 61, of Clinton, IA, passed away at his home surrounded by his family on Wednesday, April 8, 2015.

Bill was born October 15, 1953 to William "Bob" and Lucille (Sullivan) Remrey at St. Joseph Hospital of Clinton, IA.

Bill was an avid NASCAR fan #3 and New England Patriots fan. He loved to drag race his 1970 Chevelle "The Procrastinator". Bill enjoyed celebrating with his family and friends until the next morning light – last man standing!! He loved his music to no end. Mushroom hunting was a favorite hobby of his.

Bill worked at Waukesha in Clinton for 17 years and was currently employed at Metform in Savanna for 16 years.

Bill was married to Bobbi Leavens on June 30, 1973. They divorced in 1995 and married Leeann Young on July 12, 2012.

Bill is survived by his wife, Leeann of Clinton; two daughters, Audra (Gary Ballard) Remrey of Fulton and Shelly (Jason Thomas) Remrey of Clinton; two step daughters, Erin (Chris Emmert) Young of Clinton and Cara Young of Clinton; four grandchildren, Joe (Brooke Danyelle) Ballard of Fulton, Josh Ballard of Fulton, Ian Thomas of Clinton and Haley Thomas of Clinton; three step grandchildren, Lexi Spear, Dylan Spear and Merlin Young all of Clinton; two sisters, Carolyn (Terry) McCunn and Punkin (Jeff) Snyder both of Fulton; three nieces; one nephew; three great nieces; two great nephews; and his best fur friends, Jersey, Bengy, Thunder and the late Beethoven.

He was preceded in death by his parents and several aunts and uncles.

Visitation will be Saturday, April 11, 2015 from 2 – 6 PM at the McDonald Funeral Home, 1601 16th Avenue, Fulton. Immediately following the visitation, please join Bill's family for a gathering at Johnnies in Fulton. Private graveside services will take place at a later date.

Bill's wishes were to have a Celebration Of Life that will be held at Triple Play in Fulton on Saturday, May 9. Flyers will be distributed soon.
