STERLING – William "Bill" Johnson, age 61, died Sunday, September 29, 2019 at CGH Medical Center in Sterling.
Bill was born December 21, 1957 in Sterling the son of John E and Mary Ann (Schultz) Johnson. He worked as a Network Engineer for the Air Force and various contractors after retiring from the military. Bill was a member of Messiah Evangelical Lutheran Church in Sterling.
Survivors include one daughter, Patricia Johnson of London, England; one son, Wesley (Laura) Johnson of London, England; one sister, Linda Whitmer of Sterling; one brother, Ken (Sue) Johnson of Sterling; one aunt, Jane (Jon) King of Stanwood, Wash. five grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be from 4:00-6:00 PM Monday, October 7, 2019 at the McDonald Funeral Home in Sterling. Memorial services will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday at Messiah Evangelical Lutheran Church in Sterling with Reverend Daniel Behmlander officiating. Inurnment will follow at the East Genesee Cemetery rural Sterling.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established to Messiah Evangelical Church.
