William "Bill" T. Cushman, 68 of Sterling died Wednesday April 13, 2022 at Rock River Hospice & Home.

He was born on January 9, 1954 in Waterloo, IA the son of Rodney Thomas and Betty Mae (Ford) Cushman. He married Elaine Ufkin on April 6, 1974 in Rock Falls. Bill had worked at the former R.B.&W. in Rock Falls (later Reliant) later retiring for Silgan. He was a member of New Life Lutheran Church; a life member of Ducks Unlimited; a life member of NRA. Bill was an avid outdoorsman. He found great enjoyment in following and attending his grandchildren's school and sport events.

Survivors include his wife, Elaine; son, Bradley (Melissa) Cushman; daughter, Lynnsey (Payton) Leigh; sisters: Ruth (David) Hand and Robbin Clifton; brother, Bob (Mary) Cushman; and grandchildren: Ellie, Cale, Carson and Carli.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
