Wayne Gallentine Obituary

ROCK FALLS – Wayne Gallentine, 80, of Rock Falls died Friday February 19, 2021 at Allure of Prophetstown.

He was born on June 5, 1940 in Rock Falls the son of Delbert and Olive (Judd) Gallentine. He married the former Linda L. Adams on June 1, 1979 in Rock Falls. Wayne was employed at the former Anixter in Rock Falls for 30 years until they closed. He loved to golf, collected baseball cards, cigar boxes, assembling model cars and spending time with family.

Survivoring is his wife, Linda; sons: Jason (Cyndi) Wallingford of Yelm, WA and Bill (Shannon) Gallentine of Rock Falls; sisters: Carol Fitch of Bushnell, IL and Pat (Terry) Whitmer of Rock Falls; brothers: Ed (Marie) Berridge of Machesney Park, Larry (Glenna) McKee of Rock Falls and Ed Delbert Gallentine; 5 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters: Linda Haenitsch and Kay Griffiths; and an infant brother.

Gathering of friends and family will take place on Wednesday March 3, 2021 from 10-11 AM at Harvest Time Bible Church in Rock Falls with services to follow at 11 AM with the Reverend Jason Borton officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to his family.
