Vesta Daune Hurley, 89, of Milledgeville, passed away on Tuesday, February 8, 2022. Vesta was born on August 19, 1932 in Coleta, the daughter of Russell and Mildred (Dunklebarger) Bushman. Her family moved to Milledgeville where she lived for the rest of her life. She married John Hurley on November 19, 1955 in New Bedford. He predeceased her on January 15, 2018. Vesta worked at Kraft, Black Top Inn, Dairy Joy, and was a beloved Avon lady. She had many special friends whose families also became her own.

Vesta was the precious mother of Jackie (Sam) Adolph of Sterling; and Michael (Julie Blair) Hurley of Loves Park. Additional survivors include one sister, Elaine Bloch of Roselle; four grandchildren, Abbie (David) Reitzel of Plainfield, Joseph (Lauren) Adolph of Seattle, WA, and Gavin and Jayce Hurley, both of Loves Park; four great grandchildren, Lauren, Hailey, Storm, and Idris; one special niece, Kyla Bloch Tesch of Rock Falls; and several other nieces and nephews.

Vesta was preceded in death by her parents; husband John; and one brother, Larry Bushman.

Cremation rites will be accorded. Private interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Carroll County Senior Center or Vitas Hospice.
