Tommy L. Karrow, age 73, of Sterling, died Monday, July 26, 2021 at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center in Rockford.

Tom was born December 5, 1947 in Sterling, the son of Wayne and Linnae (Mortenson) Karrow. He married Janice Duncan on December 7, 1968 in Rock Falls. Tom was employed at Rock River Tool & Die (formerly RB&W) for over 40 years, retiring in 2014. He was an avid farmer, member of FFA, and he played drums in a band named Creations. He was also a member of Zion's Well Church in Dixon (Prairieville).

He is survived by his wife Janice Karrow of Sterling; eight daughters, Tammy (Dr. James) Morse of Peoria, Leah (Otto) Maldonado of Rockton, Julie Duerst of Sterling, Katie (Jonathon) Zellar of Sterling, Jena (Matthew Wallgren) Karrow of Rock Falls, Jordan (Dominique) Wilson of Rock Falls, Kala (Jon) Heins-Karrow of Rock Falls, and Lakin Karrow of Rock Falls; seven sons, David (Kathy) Karrow of Amana, Mark (Treva) Karrow of Prophetstown, Terry Karrow of Rock Falls, Keith (Rachel) Karrow of Sterling, Jamie Karrow of Rock Falls, Cliff Karrow of Rock Falls, and Evan Karrow of Rock Falls; one sister, Susan (Chuck) Hubler of Madison, AL; one brother, Pastor Dennis (Marilyn) Karrow of Chicago; 31 grandchildren Alicia (Cody) Donoho, Levi Karrow, Katrina (Josh) Gabel, Brandon Karrow, Brooke Karrow, Tyler (Lindsey) Morse, Madison Morse, Alex Morse, Alysa Maldonado, Alex Maldonado, Ava Karrow, Colin Karrow, Owen Karrow, Caleigh Karrow, Alexis Appelman, Zander Appleman-Kutz, Liam Karrow, Maven Duerst, Savannah Karrow, Avery Karrow, Braden Karrow, Gabriel Funderberg, Addison Funderberg, Trinity Funderberg, Eathan White, Ashden Kelly, Zyon Wilson, Knightly Wilson, Pandora Wilson, August Wilson and Neo Wilson; 7 great-grandchildren, Spencer Donoho, Kai Donoho, McKynleigh Donoho, Lincoln Donoho, Aiden Gabel, Adalynn Gabel, Ivy Gabel; and countless nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be Saturday, July 31, 2021 from 10:00-11:30 AM at McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls. The funeral will follow at 11:30 AM at the funeral home with Pastor Josh Wade of Zion's Well Church in Dixon officiating. Burial will be at Oak Knoll Memorial Park in Sterling.
