Thomas L. Siebert
Thomas L. Siebert, age 77, of Lyndon, died Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Prophets Riverview Good Samaritan Center in Prophetstown.
Thomas was born July 2, 1941 in Topeka, KS the son of Maurice and Marie (Bursiek) Siebert. He served in the US Army from December of 1958 – February of 1962 and later married Linda Lu Stone on March 22, 1975. He was employed as a machinist, mechanic, truck driver as well as several other positions. Tom was a benefactor life member of the NRA, NRA Golden Eagle, NIRPC Charter life member, RRLR member, SPEBSQUA Sterling-Rock Falls Barbershop member and a Tennessee Squire. He enjoyed square dancing for many years.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Lu of Lyndon; one son, Lance Thomas of Lyndon; one step daughter, Christine Rapp of Rockford; and two grandchildren, Jacob Zane Jones of Belvidere and Katrina Cheyene Jones of Murfreesboro, Tenn.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Maurice Siebert, Marie Siebert and Lois Siebert.
Visitation will be Thursday, November 8, 2018 from 5 – 7 PM at the McDonald Funeral Home, 1002 12th Avenue, Rock Falls. Funeral services will be Friday, November 9, 2018 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home with Pastor Jason Borton of Harvest Time Bible Church officiating. Private entombment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Machesney Park.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established. Donations received will be given to charities and organizations that were close to Thomas's heart.
