Terry James McDonnell, 79, of Okeechobee, FL, formerly of Rock Falls, died on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at Rock River Hospice Home in Sterling. Terry was born on October 6, 1941 in Sterling, the son of Terrance and Marie (Cassens) McDonnell. He married Barb Ebenezer in 1979 in St. Louis. Terry was employed at RB&W for 38 years, retiring in 2007. Terry was a US Army veteran and was a member of the Sterling American Legion Post #296. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was an avid Packer fan.

Survivors include his wife Barb of Okeechobee, FL; two daughters, Abby (Bill) Knox Dunn of Alabama, and Megan (Chuck) Hobbs of Sterling; two sons, Kenneth (Cari) Knox of Rock Falls, and Sean (Chanda) McDonnell of Sterling; one sister, Susan (David) Chamberlain of The Villages, FL; two brothers, Edwin (Joan) McDonnell of Sterling, and Patrick (Jodi) McDonnell of Davenport, IA; 9 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren.

Terry was preceded in death by his parents.

Cremation rites will be accorded. A Celebration of Life will be held at 4:00pm on Friday, October 1, 2021 at Sterling American Legion Post #296, 601 1st Ave, Sterling.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sterling American Legion Post #296.
