Shellie Marie Higley, age 53, died at her home, January 31, 2019.

Shellie was born on November 20, 1965 in Sterling the daughter of LeRoy and Shirley Lou (Bryant) Short. She married Tom Higley on July 24, 1983. Shellie was a homemaker and active with the auxiliary Harmon Fire Department.

She is survived by her husband Tom of Harmon; two sons, Tom (Crystal Kelchner) Higley Jr. of Harmon and Matt (Renae) Higley of Dixon; three sisters, Kay Lynn (Rocky) Ballard of Lyndon, Sherry (Jeff) Walters of Lyndon and Patricia (Raymond) Vandrew of Rock Falls; one brother, Robin Lee Short of Prophetstown; four grandchildren, LeRoy Higley, Landyn Higley, Ellyonna Brown and Halley-Anne Higley.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be from 4-5:00 PM Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at the McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls. Funeral services will follow at 5:00 PM with Reverend Leanne Keate officiating. Cremation rites will be accorded following the service.

In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established.
