Sally Ann Caudillo passed away Monday April 11, 2022 at her home.

She was born on April 1, 1957 in Sterling, the daughter of the late Manuel and Mary Jessie Caudillo. She had worked at Donaldson Company for 28 years before retiring in 2012. She was a hard worker who enjoyed her job. Sally was the mother of Taylor Jeanine and grandmother of Jaxon Charles whom she lived for and spent most of her time with. Sally enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She loved playing cards with her friends and looked forward to their weekly game nights. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Dixon since 1996. She had served the homeless with a wonderful crew of people on a committee called Loaves & Fishes. She also helped when she was able inserting bulletins at the parish office. Sally was always ready to help out in any way that she could. She was an amazing grandma who made so many wonderful memories with her grandson.

Sally is survived by her siblings: Rita Thompson of Dixon, Manuel (Maggie) Caudillo and Richard Caudillo both of Sterling, Mark (Reyna) Caudillo of DeKalb, Patty (Gary) Dowding of Rock Falls and Monica Caudillo of Oregon; she leaves behind her daughter Taylor Caudillo and grandson Jaxson Caudillo as well as many wonderful nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother in law Bud Thompson; and her brother David Caudillo.

In lieu of flowers, Sally requests donations to help defray costs.

Sally is very thankful for all who helped her on her journey and is now with the Lord.

A gathering of friends and family will take place on Tuesday April 19, 2022 from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at St Patrick Catholic Church in Dixon. Followed by the Celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM in the church. Arrangements entrusted to the McDonald Funeral Home & Crematory.
