Russell N. Garrett, age 86 of Fulton, died Thursday, June 30, 2016 at his home.

Russell was born on May 23, 1930 in Breckenridge, MN, the son of William and Zelma (McDougal) Garrett. He married Dorothy Dahlberg on July 29, 1950 in Breckenridge. She died in May 1999. He was employed at the former Northwestern Steel and Wire Co in Sterling retiring as a superintendent after 36 years of service.

Surviving are 3 daughters: Ginger Witt of Marshfield, WI, Bonnie Johnson of Rock Falls, Opal (Randy) Kleckler of Milledgeville; 1 son, William (Kathy) Garrett of Morrison; 1 sister Janet (Lark) Perry of Sterling; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and step grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; 4 brothers; 3 sisters and 1 granddaughter.

Cremation will take place and there will be no services.
