Ronald Ivan Rendleman

Ron Rendleman was a model and actor in Chicago during the 1960's. Upon his conversion to Christianity in 1966 he was instrumental in the Jesus People Movement of the 70"s promoting Christian Rock concerts bringing the message of Jesus to thousands of people on college campuses, churches, parks, prisons and Sweden.
Ron was also a published author of both fiction and non fiction books always with a message of salvation.
He retired with Gloria in Chadwick, IL where he continued to proclaim the gospel wherever he was. He can still be heard saying "The King is coming soon, and I don't mean Elvis!"
Ron was preceded in death by his parents Roy and Angeline Rendleman and his grandson, Ryan Rendleman.
He is survived by his loving wife, Gloria of 65 years, his children Nick Rendleman (Patricia), Vicki Taylor (Scott), Rita Schoenthal (Paul), Kim Dixon (Bruno) and Roy Rendleman, his 14 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and his sister Jeannine Stavlo (Dale).
Visitation will be from 10-11:00 A.M. Monday, June 26, 2017 at the McDonald Funeral Home, Rock Falls. Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home with Reverend Carl Kaiser officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Knoll Memorial Park, Sterling.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established.
