Ronald Eugene Nissen, 64, of Mt. Morris, passed away on Sunday, January 3, 2021 at CGH Medical Center in Sterling. Ronald was born January 31, 1956 in Clinton, IA, the son of Donald and Norma (Kahn) Nissen. Ronald married Judy Kriebs on December 30, 1985 in Clinton. He was employed in flooring industry for many years, at Walmart in Freeport for 20 years, and most recently at Sterling Farm & Fleet. Ronald was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Rochelle. He enjoyed gardening, NASCAR, home improvement projects, and was an avid Chicago Bears fan.

Survivors include his wife Judy Nissen of Mt. Morris; daughter, Robin Gaines of Bettendorf, IA; son, Ryan Gaines of Morrison; daughter, Rebecca Goodhart of Albany; and two sons, Eric and Nathan Nissen, both of IA; two brothers, Donald and Dale Nissen, both of IA; nine grandchildren, Tonia, Tory, Aaron, Dominique, Alexandra, Marcus, Jackson, Noelani, and Isla; and seven great-grandchildren, Ramzee, Calvin, Cordell, Laniya, Nahla, Zamaiya, and Avianna.

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents; and daughter, Tina Jackson.

Cremation rites will be accorded. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
