PROPHETSTOWN – Robert D. Livingston, age 74 died at his home Saturday February 16, 2019.
Robert was born on December 17, 1944 in Yale the son of William and Jessie (O'Dell) Livingston. He married Karen "Kay" Gorzney on October 3, 1965 in Low Moor, Iowa. She died April 19, 2008. Robert was employed with Northwestern Steel & Wire Company in Sterling for many years. He loved spending time outdoors working in his garden and morel mushroom hunting.
Survivors include three daughters, Jeannie (Sam) Jones, Susan Davis and Lisa (Marty Henry) Livingston all of Lyndon; two sons, Bob Livingston of Prophetstown and Mike Livingston of Lyndon; one sister, Judy Boyd of Willow Hill; one brother, Paul (Caroline) Livingston of Yale; 13 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and his dog Oreo.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 1 son, Brian Livingston in infancy; 2 sisters, Josephine Smith and Betty Masters; 1 brother, Roy Livingston.
A gathering of family and friends will be from 4:00-6:00 P.M. Thursday, February 21, 2019 at the McDonald Funeral Home in Prophetstown. Cremation rites have been accorded.
