Rebecca "Becky" Gomez, 65 of Rock Falls died Thursday January 21, 2021.

She was born on May 24, 1955 in Sterling and raised by her mother Alicia and step father Jesus Miniel. She attended local schools. Becky began her working career at CGH Medical Center in Sterling at the age of 19, having worked as a unit secretary and eventually as a tele communicator for the Emergency Service Department, totaling 40 years of service. When the department was merged with the new Twin Com she continued on as tele communicator. Becky was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. Her family was her pride and joy and followed the grandchildren in all their life's events.

Survivors include her daughters; Amy Gomez (Travis Hunsberger and Isabelle (Ryan) Arduini; her 6 grandchildren: Reise Arduini, Nevaeh, Manuel III and Mia Rivera, Lillian Campbell and Emily Dorathy; her siblings: Cliserio Moreno Jr, Sylvia (Ricardo) Sandoval, Julie (Kenneth) Dingman, Jessine Miniel and Israel Moreno.
She was preceded in death by her mother and step father; her sister Mary Moreno and her grandson Xavier Campbell.

Graveside services will be Wednesday January 27, 2021 at 10:30 AM at Calvary Cemetery. Luncheon to follow at 11:30 AM at Champ's Banquet Venue, 9 E. 3rd St. in Sterling
