ROCK FALLS – Patrick F. McCoy, 69 of Rock Falls died Monday January 29, 2018 at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago.
He was born on April 4, 1948 in Mc Comas, West Virginia the son of Homer and Beatrice (Hicks) McCoy and then moved to this area in 1963. He married the former Sara Mae Pillars on September 10, 1966. Pat was employed for over 29 years at the former Northwestern Steel and Wire Company as a crane operator. He was an avid fisherman and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Survivors include his two daughters: Christy Maddox of Springdale, AR and Cheryl (Tom) Rowzee of Rock Falls; his son, Patrick McCoy (Megan Chebuhar) of Ft Collins, CO; his significant other, Donna Courtney; his sisters: Bonnie (Clyde) Gibson of Princeton, West Virginia and Tammy Lucas of Kegley, West Virginia; his brothers: Gary McCoy of Rising Sun, Maryland, Michael McCoy of Princeton, West Virginia and Mark (Minerva) McCoy of Nelson; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Veronica Hefflin and one infant sister; three brothers: Barry Lusks, Dean McCoy, Terry McCoy; one infant brother; and one infant granddaughter.
Visitation will be held on Thursday February 1, 2018 from 4-7 PM at the McDonald Funeral Home, 1002 12th Avenue in Rock Falls. The funeral will follow on Friday at 10 AM at the First Open Bible Church in Rock Falls with the Reverend Les Funderberg officiating. Burial will conclude at Oak Knoll Memorial Park in Sterling.
