LAKEWOOD, Colo. — Nicholas C. "Nick" Fiorini, 67, of Lakewood, Colorado, formerly of Rock Falls, IL, and Fort Myers, FL, died Monday, July 2, 2018, at the Collier Hospice Center in Wheat Ridge, Colorado.

Nick was born on May 17, 1951, in Sterling, Illinois, the son of Charles Bruno and JoAnne (Fletchic) Fiorini. He attended St. Andrew's Grade School in Rock Falls and graduated from Newman High School in 1969. Nick was also a graduate of the PGA's business development programs. He married Marjorie "Maggie" (Hayen) Rohwer on Dec. 29, 1998, in Sanibel, Florida.

Nick was a Professional Golfers Association member for 46 years. After receiving his PGA card in Topeka, Kansas, in 1972, he served as the head pro at Morrison Country Club and Emerald Hill and Lake View Country clubs in Sterling. He also held club leadership positions at golf courses in south Florida, and worked as a professional at courses in Colorado. He was always a strong supporter of junior and women's golf and was regarded as a strong teacher of the game. He received sponsorships in an attempt to qualify for PGA and Senior PGA tournaments during the 1970s-'90s. The PGA awarded Nick membership in its Quarter Century Club on June 1, 2017.

He attended the Cathedral Basilica of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Denver.

Survivors include his wife, Maggie; his mother JoAnne Fiorini of Rock Falls; his stepsons: James P. Rohwer of Osceola, Indiana, and Matthew R. Rohwer of Lakewood, Colorado; his step grandson, Gavin Janssen-Rohwer; his sisters: Renee (John) Fiorini-McManus of Pearland, Texas, and Gina (Gary) Fiorini-Frank of Sterling; his brothers: Tony (Beth) Fiorini of Rock Falls, Dave Fiorini of Rock Falls, Chris (Kathy) Fiorini of Elkhorn, Wisconsin, and Phillip (Radonna) Fiorini of Lafayette, Indiana; his aunts: Amy Wolfe and Gloria Lundquist.

He was preceded in death by his father Charles; his uncles Harry, Joe and Louis Fiorini; aunts: Irma and Josephine Fiorini and Mary Backs; and maternal Uncle Don Fletchic; and his faithful companion "Bella" who had followed him everywhere.

On Friday July 6, 2018 the Rosary will be recited at 4:45 PM followed by the visitation from 5-7 PM at the McDonald Funeral Home, 1002 12th Avenue in Rock Falls. Celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial will follow on Saturday at 10 AM in St. Andrew Catholic Church in Rock falls with the Reverend Richard M. Russo, Celebrant officiating. Burial will conclude at Calvary Cemetery in Sterling.
