Milo O. Mundorff, Jr, age 100 formerly of Sterling, died Friday, July 28, 2017 at the LaSalle Veteran's Home.

Milo was born on July 28, 1917 in Millsboro, South Dakota, the son of Milo Sr. and Ida Mundorff. He was a United States Army Airforce Veteran and served in WWII as a pilot. He married Ruth Irene Sowers on August 11, 1944 in Warrensburg, Missouri. She preceded him in death on December 3, 2008. Milo was a mail carrier in rural Sterling for 25 years, retiring in 1984. He enjoyed helping on the family farm and was a longtime member of the East Jordan United Methodist Church in Sterling.

Survivors include one son, Richard K. Mundorff of Chandler, AZ; two grandchildren, Christopher Campbell of Sterling and Sherry Gillette of Chicago and one brother, Marvin Mundorff.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Connie Campbell; one brother, Phil Mundorff and two sisters, Mildred Zeigler and Marilyn Sprecher.

Visitation will be Friday, August 4, 2017 from 12:00-1:00 P.M. at the East Jordan United Methodist Church in Sterling. Funeral service will follow at 1:00 P.M. at the church with Pastor Jim Miller officiating. Burial with Military Honors will be at East Jordan Cemetery in Sterling.
