Michael L. Gragert, Sr.
Michael L. Gragert, Sr., age 75, of Rock Falls, died Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at the VA Hospital in Iowa City.
Michael was born June 11, 1944 in Clarion, Iowa the son of Roy and June (Streit) Gragert. He served in the Army and married Judi Moran on October 10, 1961. They just celebrated their 58th anniversary. Michael was employed at NWS&W and owned and operated Mike's Refrigeration.
Survivors include his wife, Judi Gragert of Rock Falls; one son, Mark (Trish Cain) Gragert of Rock Falls; one sister, Judy Bohms of Tenn.; one brother, Richard (Jayne) Gragert of Ky.; two grandchildren, Nicole (Cody) Dornes and Jonas Gragert; one great granddaughter, Nova Leigh Dornes; one half sister, Royanne; and one half brother, John (Becky) Gragert.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Michael Gragert, Jr.; and one brother, Larry Gragert.
Visitation will be Saturday, October 26, 2019 from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at the McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls with the funeral at 11:00 AM with Reverend William Cherry officiating. Burial with military honors will be at Riverside Cemetery in Sterling.
In lieu of flowers, memorial has been established.
