Megan Margaret Propheter, age 33 of Madison, Wis., passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 19, 2017 at University of Madison Medical Center, surrounded by her family.

Megan was born on October 13, 1983 in Sterling, the daughter of Timothy J. and Ann M. (Weaver) Propheter. Megan had two brothers, Brian and Nicholas. Megan graduated from Newman Central Catholic High School, attended Pacific University in Portland, OR, and University of Wisconsin in Madison.

Megan had several interests including reading, baking and trying new recipes. She loved to cook. She also shared a loved of the Green Bay Packers with her father.

She is survived by her parents, Timothy and Ann; her brothers, Brian and Nick; and her paternal grandmother, Florence L. Propheter.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Robert A. Propheter and maternal grandparents, David M. and Rose D. Weaver.

A private service with the immediate family will be held in Wheaton, IL. A memorial service will be held in Sterling at a later date. Arrangements were completed with the McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls.

A memorial has been established in her name at Midland Bank in Sterling or Rock Falls.
