Maxine June Mount, 93 of Rock Falls, died Friday, November 22, 2019 at Sauk Valley Senior Living and Rehab in Rock Falls.

Maxine was born on June 1, 1926 in Tampico, the daughter of Edward and Martha (Jacobs) Schultz. She married Elwin LaVerne Mount on October 25, 1946 in Sterling. He preceded her in death on May 21, 2005. Maxine was a cook at the former Colonial Acres Nursing Home in Rock Falls for over 20 years.

Survivors include her two sons, Roger (Cynthia) Mount of Rock Falls and Darrell (Nancy) Mount of Birmingham, AL; her daughter, Aleatha (Robert) Carter of Rock Falls; eleven grandchildren, Matthew Mount, Nicodemus Mount, David Mount, Kourtney Pfeiffer, Addam Garcia, Tiffany Garcia, Angelina Horton, Katie Pashon, Jessica Sheley, Brittny Pyron and Steven Carter and twenty-two great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; five sisters, Fern Isenberg, Luella Brotheridge, Donna Faye Boehm, Ruth Finley and one sister in infancy and six brothers, Lester, Harold, Everett, Francis, Kenneth and Donald Schultz.

Visitation will be Tuesday, November 26, 2019 from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at the McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls. Funeral service will be Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at 10:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Oak Knoll Memorial Park in Sterling.
