Max Walter Tieman, age 80 of Prophetstown died Wednesday, September 23, 2015.
Max was born November 26, 1934 in Kewanee, IL the son of Herman and Marie (Hansen) Tieman. He was a long time employee at Entnyer's in Oregon, IL, then worked as a park ranger for IDNR for several years in Oregon. Lastly he was employed by Oregon City Parks in Oregon, IL. He enjoyed following Civil War things, traveling, and his family. He spent much of his time with his grandchildren. Max married Shirley Williams on December 1, 1953 in Milan, Missouri.
Survivors include his wife Shirley Tieman of Prophetstown, one son Gary Tieman of San Tan Valley, Arizona, two daughters Kimberly (Robert) Yaklich of Tampico, and Julie Rowe of Oregon, two brothers William Tieman and Martin (Lois) Tieman, two sisters Dorothy Albert and Ruth (Dallas) Hill, eight b grandchildren David Tieman, Brandy Tieman, Kaylee Tieman, Jason Phillups, Joe Marth, Josh Marth, Jessica Rowe and Dylan Rowe and numerous step-grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers Andrew Tieman, Fred Tieman and Herman Tieman, and one sister Willamina Tieman.
Arrangements were completed by McDonald Funeral Home and Crematory in Prophetstown. Cremation rites have been accorded and there are no services scheduled at this time.
