Mary Jane Hill, 95, of Sterling, died on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at Resthave Home in Morrison.

She was born on March 1, 1921 in Paris, Kentucky the daughter of Nimrod and Emily (Little) Crump. She married Allen E. Hill on August 16, 1945 and he died on January 30, 1985.

Mary worked for Quinn's Jewelry for 20 years as a clerk. She was a longtime and faithful member of First United Methodist Church in Sterling. Mary enjoyed bowling and had started the local chapter of the Women's International Bowling Congress. She also enjoyed golfing and fishing for catfish with her husband.

Surviving are two sons, Douglas Hill of Clinton, Iowa and Stephen (Michele) Hill of Salem, SC; 5 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a brother.

Visitation will be from 5-7 PM on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at McDonald Funeral Home in Sterling. The funeral will be at 11 AM on Thursday, February 23 at the funeral home with Pastor Brad Wilson, officiating. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery in Sterling. A memorial has been established in her memory.
