ROCK FALLS – Mark W. Girton, 58 of Rock Falls died Wednesday May 30, 2018.
He was born on December 19, 1959 in Sterling, the son of Edward William and Sierra Sue (Hager) Girton. He had worked at various occupations throughout his life. Mark enjoyed riding his bike, camping and fishing. He loved his family and friends and his favorite place was the river.
Survivors include his parents Sue (Bob) Percycoe of Sterling; his daughter Paige I. Girton of Ironwood, MI; his sister Melanie Morgan of Grinnell, IA; his step brother Jeff (Jolie) Fowler of Sterling; his nieces: Sierra and Shasta Morgan; his nephews: Nathan Morgan, Brandon Morgan and Christopher Morgan.
He was preceded in death by his father Edward in 1966; his infant sister in 1960; his brother Todd in 1977 and his brother Scott Percycoe in 1994.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday June 5, 2018 from 9:30 until 11:30 AM at the McDonald Funeral Home, 1002 12th Avenue in Rock Falls. The funeral will follow at 11:30 AM with the Reverend Richard M. Russo, pastor of St. Andrew Catholic Church officiating. Burial will conclude at Calvary Cemetery.
