Marjorie M. Piepho, age 91 of Sterling formerly of Prophetstown died Saturday, April 18, 2015 at Regency Center of Sterling.

Marjorie was born April 1, 1924 near Prophetstown the daughter of Harm G. and Sena (Oltmanns) Klockenga. She married Roy Piepho on November 1, 1953 in Prophetstown. He preceded her in death on November 6, 1986. She and her husband farmed in the area from 1955 to 1986. She was a member of the Prophetstown United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her god daughter Marjorie Lee of Missouri, fourteen nieces and nephews Shirley Heitzler of Prophetstown, Sena (Don) Warkins of Prophetstown, Gilbert (Marion) Klockenga, Jr. of Prophetstown, Douglas Klockenga of Tampico, Dale (Judy) Klockenga of Geneseo, Betty (Dan) Vroman of Hillsdale, Cary (Donna) Klockenga of Geneseo, Cheryl (Marlin) Nielsen of Tampico, Phyllis Cain of De Kalb, Beverly (Bob) Trask of Bettendorf, IA, Marilyn (Jim) White of Sterling, Elsie (Bud) Iben of Sterling, Donald (Delores) Hook of Arkansas, Gary Klockenga of California, and several great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, eight brothers George, Jake, Harmie, Ted, Gilbert, Bill, Walter, and Raymond, one sister Anna Hook, and seven nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 10:00 – 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at Prophetstown United Methodist Church. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM at the church with Reverend Cheri Stewart officiating. Burial will be at Leon Cemetery in Prophetstown.

In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established to the Prophetstown United Methodist Church or VITAS Hospice.
