Louis P. Verbout, 95, of Sterling, IL, passed away on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 in his home.

He was born on August 25, 1925 in Argyle, MN, the son of Percy and Rose (Safranski) Verbout. He married Agnes Rajnowski on September 16, 1947. Louis worked at Franz Manufacturing for over 40 years. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Sterling.

Survivors include his wife, Agnes; two sons, Roger (Jane) Verbout of Sterling and James (Loretta) Verbout of Rochester, MN; four grandchildren, Kimberly (Ryan) Westbrock, Brandon (Laura) Verbout-Kveene, David Verbout, and Marty Verbout; and his caretaker, Irene.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Frank Verbout; and his sisters, Josephine Rajnowski, Margaret Douglas, and Janet Bennett.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 16, 2021 from 9:00-10:00 A.M. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Sterling. Celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 A.M. at the church with Reverend James R. Keenan Celebrant officiating. Burial will conclude at Calvary Cemetery in Sterling.
