Lois Margaret Fordham, age 101 of Rock Falls, died Saturday, December 7, 2019 at CGH Medical Center in Sterling.
Lois was born on July 20, 1918 in Walnut, the daughter of Howard H. and Edith M. (Becknell) Wallace. She married Harold E. Fordham on March 29, 1938 in Clinton, IA. He preceded her in death on September 29, 1989. Lois was a longtime member of the First Christian Church in Rock Falls.
Survivors include one son, Larry Fordham of Washington, IL; one daughter, Joyce Casares of Rock Falls; son-in-law, John Holland of Marshville, WI; one brother, Neale (Rita) Wallace of Walnut; sister-in-law, Elinor Wallace; five grandchildren, Anthony Casares, Rafael Casares, Kathleen Roemer, Hal Fordham and Amy Fordham; twelve great grandchildren; and nine great, great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; one daughter, Sandra Holland; two granddaughters, De Arya Van Aacken and Tanya Casares; two sisters, Edna Allen and Iletta Kitterman; and four brothers, Franklin, Loyal, Harold and Marvin Wallace.
Visitation will be Friday, Decemeber 13, 2019 from 3:00-5:00 P.M. at the McDonald Funeral Home in Sterling, 505 1st Avenue. Funeral service will be Saturday, December 14, 2019 at 10:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Dixon.
