Linda Mae Folkers, 69 of Milledgeville, died Saturday, March 26, 2022 at CGH Medical Center in Sterling.

Linda was born on April 2, 1952 in Wisconsin, the daughter of Chester and Joyce (Fey) Strehlow. She married Marvin Folkers on November 29, 1967 in Missouri. He preceded her in death on April 20, 2012. She worked as a Registered Nurse for many years at KSB Hospital and retired from Exceptional Care in 2012. She was a wonderful caregiver, exceptional baker, and loved to spoil her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed painting, drawing, gardening, crocheting, and watching John Wayne movies. She was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Milledgeville.

Survivors include two daughters, Cherrie (Brian) Simpson of Milledgeville and Loretta Anderson of Milledgeville; three brothers, John (Connie) Strehlow of FL, Mike (Kaye) Strehlow of Milledgeville and Chet (Kristy) Strehlow of Forreston; one sister, Debra Meyers of Rock Falls; her brother-in-law, John (Laura) Folkers of Sterling; five grandchildren, Martin "MJ" Johnson, Colton and Clayton Simpson, and Tucker and Lyla Anderson; and one great granddaughter, Lillian Johnson.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; one daughter, Donna Johnson; one brother, Jerry Strehlow; and two sisters, Ruth Wolf and Joyce Lynn Strehlow.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2022 from 11:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Milledgeville. Funeral service will follow at 1:00 P.M. at the church with Pastor Susan Davenport officiating. Burial will conclude at Oak Knoll Memorial Park in Sterling. Arrangements completed by McDonald Funeral Homes.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church or the Milledgeville Fire Department.
