Lillian M. Thorngren, age 95 of Milledgeville, died Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Mt. Carroll.

Lillian was born on June 10, 1918 in Fair Haven Township to Floyd and Mary (Jones) Miller. She married Robert S. Thorngren on August 9, 1941 in Milledgeville. He preceded her in death on January 31, 2010. Lillian was a homemaker, helped on the farm and over the years worked several jobs. She dearly loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them. She enjoyed cooking and especially baking pies and cookies. She also enjoyed doing crafts.

Survivors include one daughter, Judy (Les) Meyers of Bonita Springs, FL; one son, Dave (Rita) Thorngren of Milledgeville; one sister, Beth Holland of Thomson; one brother-in-law, Roger Thorngren of Mt. Morris; five grandchildren, Sheri (Steve) Brezinka, Cris (Tim) Emerson, Scott (Sara) Thorngren, Kara (Lucas) Robinson, and Kalah (Tyke) Spencer; six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband; two sisters, Evelyn Howe and Betty Munz; one brother Glen Miller and one sister-in-law, Carol Thorngren.

Visitation will be Saturday, October 19, 2013 from 9:30 to 11:00 A.M. at the Milledgeville Brethren Church. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 A.M. at the church with Reverend Jim Black officiating. Burial will be at South Elkhorn Cemetery in Milledgeville.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Mt. Carroll and Milledgeville Brethren Church.
