Lester L. Farrington, age 69, of Dixon, died Saturday, March 5, 2022 at KSB Hospital in Dixon.
Lester was born December 9, 1952 in Rock Falls the son of Robert and Viola (Weeks) Farrington. He married Sheila Henderson on November 10, 1984 in Scotland. Lester served in the US Navy for 14 years retiring as First Class Petty Officer. He loved music especially playing guitar and enjoyed playing chess with his granddaughter.
He is survived by his wife, Sheila Farrington of Dixon; three children, Darren (Heather) Farrington of Sterling, Heather Elder of Dixon and Nathan DeCrane of Summerset, KY; one sister, Elaine (Dwayne) Bennett of Rock Falls; and six grandchildren, Constance Farrington, Faith Elder, Tori Edler, Chandler Elder, Brianne Farrington and Kayleigh Farrington.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Friday, March 11, 2022 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at the McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls.
A memorial has been established.
