Lena Rozeboom, 98, of Fulton, IL, died Wednesday, April 10, 2013, at the Alverno Health Care Facility, Clinton, IA.

Lena was born May 25, 1914, in Thomson, IL, to Garrett and Susie (Hamstra) Bolhous. She was educated in the Thomson Grade School and graduated from Thomson High School in 1932. She worked in her father's grocery store and at the Thomson Newspaper after high school. She married Henry Rozeboom on June 6, 1941, in Fulton, IL; he preceded her in death on January 25, 1976. She lived in Chicago while Henry finished Pharmacy School, and then returned to Fulton. She was a member of the First Christian Reformed Church, Fulton, IL, where she taught Sunday school and Catechism. She also played the church organ for 30 years; and sang and played organ for countless weddings and funerals.

Survivors include her brother, Maurice Bolhous of Delavan, WI; 4 nieces, Marilyn (Wayne) Akker, Jeanine (John) Katje, Jane Sikkema, and Jill (Ken) Peirce; and 2 nephews, Vernon (Alva) Sikkema and Rod (Kathy) Bolhous; as well as great nieces & nephews and great great nieces & nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband; a sister, Daisy Sikkema; and a brother, Clarence Bolhous.

A visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, April 16, 2013, at the McDonald Funeral Home, Fulton, IL. Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, April 16, 2013, with Pastor Wayne Wiersema officiating. Burial will be in the Fulton Township Cemetery, Fulton, IL. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established to the Alverno Health Care Facility, Clinton, IA or to the donor's choice.

The family would like to thank Mercy Medical Center, Mercy Homecare and Hospice, and the Alverno for their care. They would also like to thank Lena's friends who supported her: Mrs. Jeanette Brondyke, Mr. Charles Mika, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Workman, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Smith; and Mr. and Mrs. Chuck Smith.
