Kevin A. Sproul
Kevin A. Sproul, age 55, of Sterling, died Monday, September 27, 2021 at Rock River Hospice and Home.
Kevin was born August 28, 1966 in Sterling the son of David and Gloria (Waldschmidt) Sproul. He attended Sauk Valley Community College then graduated from Illinois State University with a Master's Degree in Industrial Technology. While at ISU, he was a member of a circus fraternity where he was active as a clown. Kevin was employed as a project manager of software sales for several corporations. He was a fun loving, outgoing person with many friends. He enjoyed sail boating, traveling and spending time with his family and friends. Kevin loved hi s dog, Zoey.
He is survived by his parents, David and Gloria Sproul of Sterling; his fiancée, Karen Holder of Sterling; two daughters, Monica Sproul of San Diego, Calif. and Megan Sproul of Portland, Ore.; three sisters, Lori (John) Farley of Manhattan, KS, Diana (Patrick) Prescott of Newark, Ohio and Julia (Jeffrey) Kime of Bolingbrook; several aunts and uncles, Geraldine Wike, Phyllis Conklen, Marty (Henry, Jr.) Waldschmidt, Darlene Waldschmidt, and Erless (Richard) Waldschmidt; one sister-in-law (Michael's wife), Vicki Anderson; and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Michael Sproul; and his grandparents and several aunts and uncles.
Visitation will be held Friday, October 1, 2021 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls. Celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, October 2, 2021 at 10:30 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sterling with Reverend Bruce Ludeke officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Sterling.
A memorial has been established.
