Kenneth D. Blakeslee Jr, 69 of Rock Falls died Thursday February 3, 2022 at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City.

He was born on March 30, 1952 in Dixon, IL the son of Kenneth DeWayne and Leota (Manning) Blakeslee Sr. He graduated from Polo High School, and then Western Illinois University where he was a member of The Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity. He married Margaret Casillas on July 27, 1974 at St. Andrew Catholic Church

He was employed by Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company for most of his career in the capacity of sales & management. His career began at the Sterling, IL location, leading to positions, in Missouri & Indiana. In 2015, Ken retired from Moore Tires. He was a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church, where he was active in music ministry as a cantor. Ken enjoyed his family, playing basketball at the Sterling YMCA, fishing, golf, singing, dancing, community theatre & traveling.

Survivors include his wife, Margaret; his daughter, Dawn (Darren) Majeski of Prophetstown; his sons: Kenneth Daniel (Lindsey) Blakeslee of Ventura, CA and Adam (Katie) Blakeslee of Rock Falls; his sister Teresa (Roy) Wolber of Polo; his brothers: Ronald Blakeslee, Paul (Donna) Cavanaugh and Timothy (Stacey) Cavanaugh all of Polo; Nine grandchildren: Madeline, Emma, Parker, Wyatt, Emmett, Weston, Garrett, Jeremy and Josh; One great-grandchild: Mila; His mother-in-law Mary Casillas, aunts, uncles, brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, his mother; his step father Paul E. Cavanaugh; his sister-in-law Jean Ann Blakeslee; and his father-in-law Daniel Casillas.
Private services will be held at a later date.

Memorials may be made in his memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital
