Kathryn Moore, peacefully went home to her Savior on March 6, 2022 surrounded by loved ones at Rock River Hospice and Home in Sterling.
She was born January 7, 1938 in Milwaukee, the daughter of Richard and Monica (Slattery) Hagie. Following high school, she enlisted and served in the US Force. There she met her husband, Earl Moore. Together they raised their children in the country outside of Milledgeville. Kathryn never met a stranger. She had a gift for getting to know everyone she crossed paths with! She was a gifted artist and enjoyed exploring new places. She had a love for cats. Kathryn operated her own hair salon for several years and when in her fifties, returned back to school to become a nurse.
Survivors include her sons: Mike (Lora) Moore of Savanna, Dave (Jody) Moore of Forreston and Andy (June) Moore of Sterling; her daughters: Sue (Greg) Jasinski of Westfield, WI and Jane Green of Fulton; 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her son Robert Moore and her sister Patricia.
Visitation will be held on Thursday March 10, 2022 from 10-11 AM at the McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls. Graveside services will follow at 11:30 AM in South Elkhorn Cemetery, Milledgeville.
