STERLING – Kaden Anthony Beer, 10 of Sterling died Friday October 6, 2017 at OSF St Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

Kaden was born on January 13, 2007 in Oak Lawn, IL the son of Jeffrey K. and Stacey A. (Drane) Beer. He was currently attending Lincoln School in Sterling as a 5th grader. He was a typical boy, yet throughout his life, Kaden overcame many challenges. He enjoyed playing outdoors, especially sports with his friends and cousins. He cherished the times in which he got to spend with his big brother Kyle. Kaden was given the opportunity and had gone to Disney World through the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Surviving are his parents, Jeff and Stacey; his brother Kyle Beer (Emily McDonald) of Sterling; his maternal grandparents, Tony and Connie Drane of Rock Falls; his paternal grandparents, Cynthia and Jerry Miller of Defuniak Springs, FL; his uncle, Kris (Tanya) Drane; his aunts: Kara (Blake) Metzger and Becki (Mark) Hermes; and many special cousins.

Kaden was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Derald Beer.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday October 10, 2017 from 4-7 PM at the McDonald Funeral Home, 1002 12th Avenue in Rock Falls. The funeral will follow on Wednesday at 10 AM at the First Presbyterian Church in Sterling, with the Reverend Christina Berry, pastor officiating. Burial will conclude at Riverside Cemetery, Sterling.

The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, that a memorial will be established.
