Jose DeJesus Ibarra, 69, of Sterling, died on Sunday, August 15, 2021 at CGH Medical Center. Jesus was born on September 30, 1951 in Mexico, the son of Margarito and Angelita (Diaz) Ibarra. He married Rosa Diaz on December 12, 1992 in Chicago. Jesus was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Sterling. He enjoyed fishing, playing the accordion, and singing. His family will lovingly remember his humble spirit, hilarious sense of humor, and kind heart.

Survivors include his wife Rosa of Sterling; two daughters, Noelani Ibarra of Sterling, and Marissa (Joseph) Ayala of Bolingbrook; one son, Juan Pablo (Anne) Ibarra of Montgomery; two sisters, Gloria (Antonio) Cepeda, and Emma (Teodoro) Garcia, one brother, Sabino (Lily) Ibarra, all of Mexico; 11 grandchildren, Alejandro, Gabriel, Tomas, Lyoto, Abrianna, Connie, Isaac, Keegan, River, Mackie, and Giovanni; one great granddaughter, Cecilia; and one nephew, Eliazar "Rury" (Guadalupe) Ibarra of Kansas.

Jesus was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Concepcion Zalasar; and 10 siblings.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00pm on Friday, August 20, 2021 at McDonald Funeral Home, 1002 12th Ave, Rock Falls. Celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 600 Ave B, Sterling, with Revered Jorge Bravo officiating. Burial will conclude at Calvary Cemetery in Sterling.

José De jesús Ibarra, de 69 años de Sterling, falleció el
domingo 15 de agosto de 2021 en el Centro Médico CGH. Jesús nació el 30 de
septiembre de 1951 en México, el hijo de Margarito y Angelita (Díaz)
Ibarra. Se casó con Rosa Díaz el 12 de diciembre de 1992 en Chicago. Jesús
era miembro de la Iglesia Católica de Santa María en Sterling. Le gustaba
pescar, tocar el acordeón y cantar. Su familia recordará amorosamente su
espíritu humilde, su divertido sentido del humor y su buen corazón.

Los sobrevivientes incluyen a su esposa Rosa de Sterling; dos hijas, Noelani
Ibarra de Sterling, y Marissa (Joseph) Ayala de Bolingrook; un hijo, Juan
Pablo (Anne ) Ibarra de Montgomery ; dos hermanas, Gloria (Antonio) Cepeda, y
Emma (Teodoro) García, un hermano, Sabino (Lily) Ibarra, todos de México;

Eliazar "Rury" (Guadalupe) Ibarra de Kansas.

Jesús fue precedido en la muerte por sus padres; su primera esposa,
Concepción Zalasar; y 10 hermanos.

La visitación se llevará a cabo de 5:00-7:00 pm el viernes 20 de agosto de
2021 en Mc Donald Funeral Home, 1002 12th Ave, Rock Falls, La celebración de
la Misa de Entierro Cristiano se llevará a cabo a las 10:00 am el sábado 21
de agosto de 2021 en la Iglesia Católica St. Mary, 600 Ave B, Sterling con
el reverendo Jorge Bravo oficiando. El entierro concluirá en el Cementerio
Calvary en Sterling.
