John A. Hurley, 87, of Milledgeville, died on Monday, January 15, 2018 at Dixon Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.
He was born on October 22, 1930 in Portsmouth, Ohio to Dennis and Goldie (Mershon) Hurley. He married Vesta Bushman on November 19, 1955. John served in the US Navy and worked at Northwestern Steel and Wire Company for 18 years.
He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Jackie (Sam) Adolph of Chadwick; a son, Michael Hurley of Loves Park; 2 sisters, JoAnn Hartz of Barrington and Sally (Alt) Hippen of Sterling; a brother, Dennis (Helen) Hurley of Princeton; 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Private burial of the cremains will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established. Arrangements are through McDonald Funeral Home and Crematory in Milledgeville.
