ROCK FALLS – John F. Blevins, 53 of Rock Falls died Tuesday December 12, 2017 at his home.

He was born on December 26, 1963 in Sterling, the son of Carl Daniel and Shelby June (Tolley) Blevins. He had worked at Frantz Manufacturing and also at Northwestern Steel and Wire Co. John loved country music and enjoyed playing his guitar and singing.
Survivors include his son, Tyler J. Blevins (Brittany Johnson) of Sterling; his parents Carl and Shelby Blevins of Rock Falls; his sisters: Sarah Wright of Fulton, Debbie (Paul) Capp of Sterling, Lisa (Mike) Decker of Rock Falls, Teresa (Dennis) Christian of Rock Falls and Amy (Al) Williams of Dixon; his grandchild Jaedyn; and many niences and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents; his brother Mark; his son Jesse Lee; and his nephew Jason Capp.

Visitation will be held on Sunday December 17, 2017 from 1-3 PM at the McDonald Funeral Home, 1002 12th Avenue in Rock Falls. The funeral will follow on Monday at 10 AM in the funeral home with the Reverend Aaron Jackson, pastor of Emmanuel Baptist Church of Sterling officiating. Burial will conclude at Coloma Township Cemetery.
