Jerry D. McKenna
Jerry D. McKenna, age 60, of Sterling, died Saturday, April 15, 2017 at his home.
Jerry was born July 17, 1956 in Morrison the son of John and Esther (Eads) McKenna. He married Laurie McBroom on June 24, 1996 in Tampico. She preceded him in death on February 10, 2001. He was employed at Walnut Components for 35 years.
Survivors include four daughters, Heidi Scott of N.Y., Amanda (Greg) McBroom-Rick of Sterling, Bambi Williamson of Rock Falls and Tiffany Hatten of Tampico; one son, Cody (Kristan Hunter) Meier of Tampico; three sisters, Diane Bass-McKenna of Sterling, Sue (Larry) Bushman of Sterling and Barbara (Clarence) Maddox of Ohio; two brothers, Chuck (Deb) McKenna of Rock Falls and Leroy McKenna of Dekalb; and 15 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; three sisters, Linda McKenna, Joyce and Marge Lindsey; and one brother, Raymond McKenna.
A gathering of family and friends will be Saturday, April 22, 2017 from 10 – 11 AM at the McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls. Memorial services will be Saturday at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with Randy Hedrick officiating.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
