Jean M. Galloway, age 85 of Como, died Thursday, March 12, 2020 at her home.

Jean was born on August 19, 1934 in Sterling, the daughter of Clarence and Irene (Kaufman) Allen. She married Robert Galloway on August 15, 1954 in Sterling. He preceded her in death on September 19, 1992. Jean received her degree and worked as an X-Ray Technician for a few years before working alongside her husband and helping run the family business, Como Processing. She was a member of Rock River Christian Center in Rock Falls. Jean had volunteered at Sterling Christian School, the pregnancy crisis center, she was a 4H leader and Sunday school teacher. Jean enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her three children, Amy (Chris) Cassens of Sterling, Shawn (Joel) Cook of Sterling and Darin (Teresa) Galloway of Sterling; seven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; and one sister, Maxine Gaumer of Sterling.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and one grandson in infancy.

Visitation will be Tuesday, March 17, 2020 from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at the McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls, 1002 12th Avenue. PRIVATE funeral service for immediate family only will be at Rock River Christian Center with Pastor Brian Vickers officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Sterling.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Foundation.
