James D. Dudley, Sr., age 72, of Rock Falls, died Wednesday, October 25, 2017.
Jim was born February 3, 1945 in Sterling the son of George and Jean (Gilman) Dudley. He married Peggy Waffle on August 1, 1965 at the Rock Falls Methodist Church. He worked in the Autobody Industry for over 40 years, with 20 of those years at Polhills, Inc. in Milledgeville. Jim enjoyed fishing, camping and collecting trains. He was also an animal lover.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy Dudley of Rock Falls; two daughters, Tami (Jeffrey) Johnson of Dixon and Lori Dudley of Shannon; three sons, Timothy (Alicia) Dudley of Milledgeville, Cody (Allison) Meier of Sterling and Cole (Karen Ann) Meier of Erie; two brothers, Kenneth Dudley of Sterling and George (Beth) Dudley of Rock Falls; three granddaughters, Nicole (Josh) Pitts, Chandra (Thomas) Hamilton and Evelynn Meier; three grandsons, Logan and Carter Dudley and Landen Meier; and three great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Albert Dudley; one daughter, Debra Sue Dudley; and one son, James Dudley, Jr.
Memorial services will be Saturday, October 28, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Bethel Reformed Church in Sterling with Reverend Gary DeKoekkoek officiating.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
Arrangements were completed by the McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls.
