Jack V. Chappell (Do Lil), age 65 of Rock Falls, died Wednesday, June 03, 2015 at his home.

Jack was born on July 1, 1949 in Hoxie, Arkansas; the son of Paul W. and Myrtie L. (Peppers) Chappell. He married Sharon S. Clardie on September 13, 1966 in Sterling, IL at the Church of Christ. Jack enjoyed driving his semi for many years for Teamster Union. He also enjoyed riding his Harley. Jack loved spending time with his family and friends and especially his grandchildren and enjoyed attending their activities.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon; one son, Donnie (Shelley) Chappell of Rock Falls; one daughter, Davia Chappell (William Johnson) of Rock Falls; one sister, Pat (Sam) Skinner of Rock Falls; six grandchildren, Jordan, Colbey, Brett, Chase, Cameron and Collin, one great grandchild, Adien and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Steve Chappell and one sister in infancy, Peggy Chappell.

Visitation will be Friday, June 5, 2015 from5:00-7:00 P.M. at the McDonald Funeral Home in Sterling, 505 1st Avenue. Memorial service will be Saturday, June 6, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. at the funeral home in Sterling with Reverend Robert Clardie officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Sterling.
