Henry B. Cassens, age 80, of Sterling, died Tuesday, April 10, 2018, at Serenity Hospice and Home in Oregon.

Henry was born November 12, 1937 in Sterling the son of Vernon and Leona (Johnson) Cassens. He married Beverly Turek on September 10, 1960 in Polo and was employed at several window manufacturing companies.

Survivors include his wife of Sterling; four sons, Jeffrey (Kathleen) Cassens of Rhinebeck, N.Y., Henry Cassens of Peoria, James (Kimberly) Cassens of Wayzata, Minn. and Todd Cassens of Hooppole; two brothers, Vernon Robert (Alice) Cassens of Polo and Chris (Amy) Cassens of Sterling; nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter-in-law, Kimberly Cassens.

A gathering of family and friends will be from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Thursday, April 12, 2017 at the McDonald Funeral Home, Sterling. Private family services will be held at a later date.
