Helen F. Delgado, age 82 of Sterling, died Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at CGH Medical Center in Sterling.

Helen was born on October 10, 1936 in Sterling, the daughter of Alex and Antonia (Gonzales) Regalado. She married Peter John Delgado, Sr. on September 17, 1955 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Sterling. Helen worked as a CNA and was a transporter for radiology at the hospital for many years. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and the Alter and Rosary Society. Helen enjoyed watching her grandchildren grow up and spending time with them and her family.

Survivors include, one daughter, Rose Strader of Sterling; three sons, Peter (Deborah) Delgado, Jr. of Rock Falls, Raymond Delgado of Sterling and Paul (Mary) Delgado of Sterling; one sister, Sylvia (Jube) Manzano of Sterling; three brothers, Michael (Margaret) Regalado of Sterling, Louie Regalado of Sterling and Tom Regalado of Sterling; seven grandchildren, James, Angelica, Vanessa, Zachary, Matthew, Shanna and Travis; and eight great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; two brothers, Joe and Andy Regalado; and three sisters, Maryann Rodriguez, Mary Estrada and Theresa Williams.

Visitation will be Friday, May 17, 2019 from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at the McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls, 1002 12th Ave. Rosary will be recited at 4:30 P.M. at the funeral home. Celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, May 18, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Sterling with the Reverend Jorge Bravo, Celebrant officiating.
