Hattie F. Wolever, age 91 of Prophetstown died Tuesday, March 04, 2014 at CGH Medical Center in Sterling.

Hattie was born February 14, 1923 in El Dorado Springs, MO, the daughter of Albert August and Bonnie Alice (Stingley) Freude. She married Robert D. Wolever in 1940 in Missouri, and then later divorced. She worked at Penberthy for 21 years retiring in December of 1988. Hattie also worked at Paul Carlson Insurance Agency, John Deere Defense, Microgear, Climco, and also was a teacher of all grades in a country school. She was a member of the Prophetstown United Methodist Church in Prophetstown, American Legion Auxiliary and AARP. Hattie graduated from Erie High School in 1941 and enjoyed reading and spending time with her great grandchildren.

Survivors include her two daughters Patricia Crump of Prophetstown, and Barbara Israel of Chino Hills, CA, one son Brett Wolever of Tucson, AZ, and one sister Bea Wolever of Erie, eleven grandchildren, six great grandchildren, two step great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one son Robert, two sisters Alberta, and Bonnie, and two brothers Albert and Jack.

A visitation will be from 10 -11 AM Saturday, March 8, 2014 at the Prophetstown United Methodist Church. Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 AM at the church with Reverend Cheri Stewart. Burial will be at Erie Cemetery in Erie.

In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established.
